Lets See, My name is Justin Thomas and I want to a make a difference in this World.

In order for you to understand, I guess I will have to explain somewhat of my life's story.

I was born in New Orleans, LA. I lived at, if not under the poverty line.  While my family didn't have much, we worked hard and together for what we needed. Many times we fell short, but we made it nonetheless.

In this world of little possessions, the short end of the stick, and a splintered wooden spoon, besides Christ, my mother was the only thing constant and secure in my life.  Robin Michelle Martin-Simmons died May 4, 2005, when I was 15.

Three months later, Hurricane Katrina made her appearance in my life and took everything I had besides two pairs of pants, an undershirt, underwear, and a pair of shoes I had on my feet when I evacuated to Monroe, Louisiana.

From there I lived with my father, whom I never got along with, for two years until I graduated high school.

I grew up with very little, had my world taken away, then had all my possessions literally wept away. I've dealt with loss, not having, and wishing someone would reach out and help me.

As I said before, though I loss my mother, it was my faith in Christ that sustained me. It is through his blessings that I stand where I am now, A student at Texas A&M University majoring in Sociology whom is blessed beyond measure.

I would like to be to someone else the blessing I wished for when I needed help.
